Rose petals are the perfect accompaniment for almost any romantic occasion. Over the 20+ years we’ve been growing roses, we’ve seen many inventive ways to use rose petals for romance.

They have varied from writing “I Love You” in rose petals across the living room floor right through to what we call “the forest proposal”. In the elaborate but beautiful forest proposal, a romantic young man positioned his friends with rose petal cannons in trees amidst a dense forest. When his girlfriend presumably said yes to his marriage proposal, his friends were to release an explosion of rose petals from their hiding spots in the tree canopy.
